No gigs to photograph, so I recreated some famous album covers for a week...

I also recorded a lot more music up in the loft and made extremely cheap videos for a few of them:

and a cover version...

Those are fun!

I wrote like a demon, and have now almost finished the first draft of my third, Sheffield-based novel. Going to start the big edit of this soon, but first I reckon a few short stories.

A punk biography of Beethoven for his 250th birthday. Youtube really compresses the sound badly, but hey ho.

Went to work as normal. Thoroughly enjoyed the quiet streets. Smiled at the resigned demeanour of dogs being walked for the umpteenth time that day. Gained wicked pleasure at the fact that people fortunate enough to have pleasant, comfortable homes were whinging because they had to spend time in them.

Have a listen to the track I posted by Joan Osborne, that'll take you away from it all :D

Stoke got put into a 14 day lockdown (prior to the national lockdown) so I decided to challenge myself to write and record a Ramones-inspired 14 track album in 14 days. Did it in 8.

The Credit Card of Hope "Stay Home"

One day before the end of (the most recent) lockdown I was involved in a photoshoot for ex-student and local up and coming artist Average Joe, in a currently unoccupied office block in the middle of Hanley. There's only one tenant - himself a photographer - and he let the whole photo and video crew in on the quiet.

Did another photoshoot with London-based singer-guitarist Sean Taylor, who I took up some big hills and got some nice shots. I'm only posting one from the shoot, as he might be using them for his next release.

A version of this ended up as his album cover :)
