Have done twice.....1st time mumbled something incoherent to Charlie Dimmock in Tel Aviv Airport
several years ago!
2nd was last month in Seville, Steve Bruce and his wife. Brief (coherent) chat...very pleasant. ..>

The album starts off pretty electronic and then becomes the John Grant we are used to, lovely music.

Why didn't I take more notice of this sooner :?:
Saw John Grant on Jools Holland this week by accident because Richard was on and immediately purchased the new album and the previous one.
Had the hairs stand up on my arms upon hearing "Glacier" and the only other time that has happened was on hearing Richard for the first time.
Have to mention "GMF" and "Geraldine" as outstanding tracks as well and great production.
This man has a truly beautiful soul.

Check his Czars output as well.
And his first solo album, Queen of Denmark.

Glacier is stunning - I get goosebumps when he does this live, same as I do when RH does Soldier On.

First saw him live at a small gig at the Jazz café when Queen of Denmark had just been released, now he's doing much bigger gigs - seeing him soon in Hammersmith and next June at the Royal Albert Hall. :Hoorah

Just downloaded "Queen Of Denmark" stunning tracks: "It's Easier" "Outer Space" "Sigourney weaver" and "Marz" just brilliant, a true talent.
