I agree about High Fidelity. The book is superb, especially the first half when Hornby really explores the male pysche and our desire to list everything and the obsession we hold for records etc.

The film however, is an abject lesson in not letting American finances dictate quintessentially English films. Very poor.

Those shops that Ernie and Simon Groom, sorry Simon G talk about sound very good.

Hang on, Simon Groom lives in the Peak District and our Simons called Simon G.....bloody hell!

Naaaahhhh, that Simon Groom does a really shit programme on Radio sheffield at the weekend! I've never heard him play Hawley......no way could it be the same bloke!!
