Unbelievable!!! Those Management Morons at the BBC have got rid of Danny Baker - one of the best/funniest/intelligent/entertaining shows on radio with a huge following, just cannot believe it! Why would you do that?!?!?!?....and just after he had cancer too! Absolutely Despicable! I, for one, will be complaining, as, I'm sure will be the rest of London. n Apparently, they never even spoke direct to DB, but informed his agent and asked them 'not to say anything' - this is the best presenter on radio, gave us all such a lot of fun and laughter and intelligent banter and they treat him like that! SHAME ON YOU ! Middle Management gone mad!!!

I love Danny Baker. Me, you and Debs, taking the lot of the fuckers outside now. Fucking weasely, untalented, Tory arse licking wankers at the Bbc, getting rid Of genius while the world flounders in the cultural vapidity of Strictly Come Fuckwit. Shit. X

They replied to my email saying that it wasn't about 'finances', but about 'refreshing the schedule' - I sent one back asking why on earth they thought they needed to refresh something that wasn't stale?

Please sign the petition if you believe in what the BBC is supposed to stand for.......

I suppose he's not bland enough, or a 'yes' man, he has opinions and that's the trouble - and there was I thinking the BBC was all about freedom of speech- yours, mine, and everyone else's - how wrong I was - Shame on you lot of soulless, grey suited, mechanical management morons - for getting rid of someone who puts a smile on London's face!

I've signed it. I don't actually listen to the show, but on the odd occasion that I have I thought it was brilliant.

Thanks Marie. I've just signed it.
DB is unique. We need more original presenters, not fewer. I hope the public can swing this....

Only needed to watch the album programme he did, to see how entertaining, enlightening, and informative DB is. More than likely something dark and gloomy going on behind closed doors. I used to have to park at the top of a hill to be able to get his london show in my car, even rang up once. It was about weather indoors. I was completely star struck and what a charming, lovely man to talk to. Who ever sacked him should hang their head in shame.

Which one is Danny Baker? Is he the one with the scarf who took over from Jon Pertwee?

Now you mention it, he would make a brilliant Dr Who. Although i have grow quite fond of Matt Smith (in a motherly way) think its the bow tie

Just finished reading Going to sea in a sieve written by DB. Its very funny and an insight into the man and his life. Lots of things that make you do the 'oh yes, we had one of those. Or 'I remember that'. Most definately worth a read.
