Nice pics Jean - my son is at uni in York and I spend a fair amount of time on North Yorkshire with work; I really love the area

I went to Uni in York, rather a long while ago! Harry Enfield was there at the same time as me and also Graham Simmons who's a Sky Sports reporter (we were in the same footie team). Great town, although I wish Red Rhino Records on Gillygate was still going....my favourite record shop of all time. When I was at uni, Kelvin out of the Delta 5 used to work in the shop and they used to play Sisters of Mercy demos all the time. They had great imports and I bought loads of records from the 80's surf revival in there - Jon & the Nightriders, The Packards. I had to economise on Uni food as a result of spending my grant on music and would live on chips and beans from Vanbrugh college canteen (28p) for a week.

Ah, nostalgia.

Quite right! Room for everyone - I love taking snaps, but everyone else seems to take proper grown up photographs!

Thanks for the nice comment.....I just snap too.......and hope for the best.....others seem to catch the moment better than I could hope for......I think I lack imagination and artistic insight....*

Some grand pictures on here :) Took me ages to realise I was no good at photography - I just like tinkering with cameras
