Have a marvellous time! Which bit are you going to? I returned from Alonisos last week, which was very tranquil.

Cheers, Steve.

Make sure you get yersen off to Lindos whilst you are there. The Classical Music bar is one of my favourite spots in the world.

I have many greek friends in Lindos - Dino, Agostino and Vangelis - see you soon! :D

Only just discovered this thread.......we were in Lindos from 5th - 20th September.
We always said that we would never go to the same place more than once..........until we went to Lindos in 2008.

Magical place........

happy holiday Luke, I went to Lindos a few years ago...it was like being on the sun but prettier, I melted walking up that bloody hill and seriously considered getting on a donkey...but I am not that cruel.

you would have been there at the same time as me, i always used to stay in lindos in the early to mid 1990s then we started staying in pefkos a couple of miles down the road which is where we always stay now.

already planning next years holidays - two weeks in pekfos in september, and a week early in the summer either on rhodes or another island, i really want to go to Hydra.

The donkeys which take you up the hill are great, I used to know the "donkey man" who was in charge of the whole operation - Anastachio, who was 90 if he was a day...great man now gone to the sky.

Last time I was in Lindos was twenty years ago last month. Like many places in Greece, it was (still is?) wonderful.

Cheers, Steve.

twenty years ago eh, back in the days when Patric Walker lived and worked there - his villa is now a holiday home. Dave Gilmour still owns a place in Lindos.
