I've just looked on Slim Jim Phantom's website - poor guy thought he'd just sprained his arm - it turns out he has broken it in three places!

But against doctors orders he is going to try and play tonight's gig in Manchester....................

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Chris! I can't see anything on the Stray Cats website, only the Slim Jim one but so far nothing about cancellation, just that he is going to try and play the gig...........

I'm gutted for you if he doesn't play-last night the roof nearly came off brixton academy-my jaw was drooping on the floor at the sheer magnitude of it,loving the bass action, it was truly something else. Awesome, awesome gig, plus it was ace to see brixton being invaded by gangs of marauding quiffs and birds dressed up to the nines-my kinda town.

Strangely I've just been on the phone to a mate who went yesterday who's seen them 11 times and he said the show was a complete let down, the worst he's ever seen them, just going through the motions, very little crowd interaction etc He might just be saying that to make me feel better though, others have said it was blinding.

On balance I hope the show tonight is postponed. Disappointing though that will be, playing a show with a drummer with an arm broke in 3 places is almost bound to be below par + more importantly he might do himself some serious damage. Just as long as they reschedule..

I wonder if he was at the same gig?

But then I haven't seen them before so I can't judge on past performance - I thought they played to the crowd brilliantly - and we all sang along to Stray Cat Strut - what interaction do they normally have apart from that then? :eh?

But as I say I'm not qualified to judge really - I thought I had my money's worth and to me it was excellent and I'm so glad I went - (although I have to say I still prefer a Hawley gig  )
