Blue wheelie bins. Good or Bad?
It's a great idea by our marvelous, forward thinking council. 80%  80%  [ 4 ]
It's a badly thought out bag of wank. 20%  20%  [ 1 ]

you cumudgeonley old scrote its a good idea, you dont have to be a hippy and wear green kickers and drive a 2cv to realise that if we dont do something soon to stop the needless waste in packaging etc then eventually we'll be up to our arses in rotting crap.

Well i dunno about these blue bins, but we've just been given green bins for garden waste... but our garden is all paving stones and rocks etc... so how is it being resourceful, surely its a waste of erm... useful green plastic that couldv'e been used to make a nice shiny helmet or...

..........ok i'll shut up now

I'm all for recycling, but I just think it's (yet) another badly concieved idea from our council.

My next door neighbour works in Brussells & he reckons all they do over there is give everybody different coloured bin bags. Green for glass, blue for paper etc. You then just stuff 'em in your bin & they sort them at the other end. Simple, no?

Have you seen the streets of Walkley or Broomhill on (or several days after) bin day? You can't walk on the pavements for bleedin wheelie bins, & now they've doubled the number.

Can't wait for the green ones as well.

Grouch over.

We haven't been given the blue bins in Jordanthorpe yet, I reckon the council thinks that people who live here are too pikey and inbred to understand the plight of the planet.

I love my blue wheelie bin and have fitted it with atomic booster rockets and a cockpit. On August 10th I will be setting off for Leicester 2seconds before Mr H is due on stage and get there with time to spare! I will then be taking anybody who wants too on rides to Saturns rings and back for a bag of pear drops and liquorice & black.

yet again darling you are out of touch with reality in more ways than one, the inspired sheffield council have decided that after july they will discontinue our blue bin collection. at least it will free the bin for your travel needs. :*:
