Not seen anyone mention this interview with Sean O'Hagan. A good piece and apart from the music, I for one am pleased to hear Richard making no bones about politics. I don't expect polemical music but there's more than one way to skin a cat and any songwriter with a sense of place, clearly a strength of Richard's music thus far, identity and just plain curiosity about the world and lives around them can't ignore that how we treat each other - in the end, what politics is about - and that it impacts on our sensibilities, relationships and personalities. Well voiced Richard, looking forward to the lp when it's out - have been avoiding any teasers and radio sessions etc. so I can listen to the whole thing.
