Hi is their a live show thread on this site anywhere? If so where? If not would anyone be interested in it? Is Richard ok with having non-profit, non-official shows being traded or links to them posted on this site? I have the following Hawley Bootlegs (of course I have all the official cd's, including the Devils arse show plus 10 singles). The dates are in US format because i list them on dbetree. All of the following shows are lossless and in FLAC format. i was hoping we could share the shows we have and all benefit. e.g. i put a show up, someone else puts a show up i dont have and then i put another up, and so on... a lot of these shows sound fantastic and i know there are plenty more out there including some from 2002. here's what i have at the moment. 05/09/03 central station 05/28/06 Quays Theatre 09/13/06 BBC Studios 09/19/06 BBC Studios 11/29/06 Shepherd's Bush Empire 09/20/07 St George's Hall 09/21/07 Bridgewater Hall 10/25/07 Le Nouveau Casino 12/10/07 KEXP Studio 12/10/07 The Crocodile Café SBD 02/08/08 Academy 05/20/08 Royal Albert Hall 08/15/08 Picturedrome |

Great stuff, thankyou both for getting back to me. so the next qustion is preserve the shows lineage and keep it lossless, or convert to mp3? As im a trader i never trade mp3 unless no other source is available and it is against my nature to upload something of inferior quality which lossy format quite literally 'are', but im also aware of the difference in file size and the fact that some people may not have particularaly good download speeds. what do you think? |

Mine are all MP3 as they were all passed on to me by others, and probably burnt from MP3 via programs such as iTunes so more loss of quality. Doesn't bother me too much as I don't have that fine tuned hearing that most musicians have But some of them did start off life as FLAC or WAV files (I may still have the originals on my back up hard drive, if I didn't decide the file sizes were too big to keep). Some of the radio stuff was recorded direct to SD Card on my DAB radio so were never in high quality. I think for a lot of us on here MP3 is fine and maybe anyone who wants better quality should contact you by PM. |

Ok that sounds very sensible to me would you be willing to put up some of your 2002 and 2003 shows? I was going to upload the 2003 show i have (9.5.2003 - 8 tracks) but i see you've got it. As your the first to reply is there anything on my list you would like me to put up? |

Any that are not on my list!!! Royal Albert Hall would be wonderful, I was there. I'll happily do the shows, but it will have to be at the weekend as I'm currently dealing with some Cousteau/McKahey stuff which is slowing my PC down. |

ok i shall start working on it right now, what a show!!! Im very jelous that you were there! The text info's below just to wet your appetite although im sure you remember every second of it!!! this will be ready to download in the next couple of hours. Richard Hawley Live at Royal albert Hall, London UK, 20th may 2008 'Hotel Room' 'Born Under A Bad Sign' 'Lady Solitude' 'Tonight The Streets Are Ours' 'Our Darkness' 'Dark Road' 'Coles Corner' 'Lady's Bridge' 'Happy New Year' (with Jarvis Cocker) 'Lonesome Town' 'Serious' 'Roll River Roll' 'Valentine' 'Danger Is A Woman In Love' (with Tony Christie) 'Just Like The Rain' 'Tonight' 'Oh My Love' 'I'm Lookin' For Someone to find me' 'Richard intros his Mum' 'Rovin' Gambler' (with Momma Hawley) 'Who's Been Talking' (with Uncle Frank) 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' 'Band Intros' 'The Ocean' Edirol R-09 recorder - Sound Pro CMC-8 binaurals with mini battery box SD Card--Wav--edited with CD wave--Flac Frontend Mr Hawley described this night as the best of his life. It certainly was a mighty topper for a successful couple of years for him and this had a real homecoming feel to it - despite being far north of home. a perfectly judged setlist IMO, although there was a break after Lonesome Town when Richard's amp went bang so there is a little gap that was put to good use in the bars and toilets of the grand old venue. Great recording, couple of mo's of mic handling and people brushing past betweeen songs but otherwise nice solid sound. |

The files are in a zip folder. If you've not got an 'unzip' program, go find WINRAR, click on extract which takes the songs into a new folder from which you can use them. http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR/3000-22 ... 07677.html (It's a trial version but to be honest, after your trial expires all you do is click close on the menu that pops up reminding you the trial is over and you continue using it). |
