Just got home from York......fab night....band were great, of course, it was good to hear a slightly different take on a couple of the songs. I had to leave early 'cos I had to walk home to Newcastle (well make sure I got my train!!!) but I had a great time.....thanks Richard and the lads, you were ace xxx

A fantastic gig,not having seen Richard live before wasn't sure what to expect,i was absolutely gobsmacked, the band were superb,it was a musical treat, Richard's singing and playing was brilliant, high point for me was Solitude and The Darkness, really really magical stuff,a slight surprise for me were the number of young'uns in the audience, proof that his music has a far ranging age appeal. :D :D :D :D

Had a good un - Lady Solitude and The Sea Calls were belters but it was the up tempo stuff that really impressed me last night - Serious and I'm Looking for..... were spot on.

Was kind of getting my hopes up for Oh My Love in the encore (cos I'm soft and him indoors was there) but all in all a great night.

Oh. And Shez's Lap Steel on Lady's Bridge?

8) 8)

Thanks lots to former_pink_lady for the tickets.

Lovely to meet them both at last :D

I think there was an 11pm curfew at the Opera House

Once again, it was an amazing gig with a receptive audience leaping to their feet at the end of the performance - much deserved by the lads as usual.

Different vibe to the standing gig at The Astoria but still fantastic. :D

I'm constantly amazed at the different feel Richard gives to his songs. No matter how many times I hear him live, he and the guys always deliver somethings fresh and inspired. Loved the 'swing' feel to some of the songs and Lady Solitude bowled me over as did The Ocean - it just gets better. The venue did justice to Clive's harmonica too as the sound seemed to carry so beautifully

Met up with The Baroness, Maggie and Catsnbooks and at long last met Craig and Dave :D Unfortunately Maggie and me missed ronp because we had to swap our Dress Circle seats for downstairs seats as Maggie was still 'with sticks' and couldn't manage the stairs. (Excellent seats in Row K though, marred only by the annual outing of The York Incontinents Society (all blokes  ) who were sitting in row H and had collectively misjudged the ability of their bladders to hold their pre-show beer consumption for the duration of Richard's performance  :*: :*: :*: :*: )

All in all a fab evening :D

Thanks Guys

Glad my tickets went to a good home, fagan's lass, and you both enjoyed the gig! I really would have loved to have been there but I've got the Albert Hall to look forward to (can't wait!!). Don't suppose anyone took any photos? :)

Lovely gig last night-the crowd there made me feel 17-I swear Hannah Hauxwell was sat in front of us. And I could smell wee.

We were laughing at deans face, when he's playing he looks like a little kid at chrimbo-the enthusiasm has no bounds bless his cottons :D I never cease to be amazed at the sheer quality of the whole band.

Nearly punched the guy at the bar like-feck me how much was 2 drinks?! Also got accosted on the way in by some dude who told me he was a 'personal escort' and tried to give me his card........... in my head doesn't that make him a hooker with a business card?
