From Facebook and Twitter @RichardHawley I am genuinely excited to be playing @Durham BRASS Festival in Durham 17July! A Saturday night headlining slot, in the unique Durham Cathedral, and a full brass band to play with – it’s quite a way to return to the stage. Tickets on sale Fri 11June 9 am: http://brassfestival.co.uk |

chumley wrote: Is it all postponed? Official announcement: Richard Hawley Thank you to everyone for trying to make it happen. I look forward to welcoming a full venue at next year's event. x Richard. Full statement from Brass International Festival : We have taken the difficult decision to postpone this year’s #DurhamBRASS, which was due to take place from Wednesday, 14 July to Sunday, 18 July. Due to uncertainty regarding national announcements on Covid restrictions and the publication of safety guidance on large scale events, the event is postponed until 2022. The festival had been planned with Covid-safety measures in mind, with a largely outdoor programme and social distancing arrangements that adhered to current government guidelines. We have been monitoring sector guidance and local conditions closely and, with the current lack of clarity around safety measures at large-scale events, it is no longer felt that it would be possible to host the festival in a safe and enjoyable way on the planned dates. Everyone who has a ticket for a BRASS event will be contacted over the course of the next week. Find out more: http://ow.ly/WNJF50FjPF3 |
