i have loved this world cup,me and `palf have had a competition who could watch the most games,he won curtains drawn,i had to do a bit of movin about but he stuck to it like a..erm.......glue thing......i missed 9 gamesish give or take,i think the winners deserved it,football won in fact, shame Holland removed their lovely style from the final,i couldn't get my head round the sunday league bollocks when they play such great footy, chuffed for spain, lets hope from this experience that england learn that spirit wins as much as money, hopefully more so,

Harummph...i am going to have to go back to the night job now.....how long away is the euro cup.mmmm wednesday fixtures in obscure and wonderful towns i will have to look into touring......

good to see spain win, it was a great world cup all in all... my mum was in spain not long ago and everyone there was saying how badly they want to win it to restore some national spirit because the economy has gone down the pooper and all that- so i think this probably proves your point richard, that spirit and trying your heart out can get you very far indeed.

Nice to see FIFA cracking down with the fines for Holland & Spain after the final and really hitting them in the pocket.

Holland prize money £15 mill, fine £9k...........they will have to put plenty of overtime in to pay off this huge amount.

Villa looked terrible for the bits i saw. Not sure Newcastle can keep it up, you look through there team and there are still some very average players.

Have family trip to White Hart Lane tonight to see if Spurs can get through to the next round of the Champions League. Small boys in our house have already lost their appetites in preparation for the game, a combination of nerves and saving themselves for the legendary foot-long hotdog. As well as shelling out for overpriced junk food of dubious meaty origins and the ridiculous cost of the tickets, I am having to shell out for the (disgusting) new kit. Ah, the joys of the new season. x

It's been over a month and nobody has talked balls.

Any Everton fans on here?

All I can say is come on you Spurs. Van the Man is the new hero in our house – he's a lairy monkey but we sort of like them that way. And Bale, looks like an extra from The Hobbit, but the boy is the dog's bollocks. x

Isn't he fantastic! Think every club in Europe will be after him. Just need Harry to keep his eye off the chequebooks, for once.
Am at the Lane for the home tie with my boy. Very excited!
Am also going to the Blackburn game on Nov 13, Dickie. My son will be first in the queue to get Robinson's autograph, again. Football first loves never die. x
