My reviews of todays action....

South Africa v Mexico - unremarkably average

France v Uruguay - big bag of bollocks.

didn't see Mexico - South Africa but I guess that didnt have classic all over it anyway so no suprise there. The second game wasnt exactly edge of your seat stuff either, I mean if you have Forlan & Suarez up front you'd make some sort of effort to maybe get the ball up to them ? Maybe both teams fancy battering the other two teams in the group and wernt too put out by the draw thats the way it looked to me anyway by the tactics and the reactions of the players at the end. Tomorrow should be better fair.

I slept through most of the second half of tonight's game! The only minor sources of amusement were that Uruguay's keeper looked about 7 and the match appeared to be refereed by Spain.

Caught tiny bits of the 2nd half of SA & Mexico and at least the players looked interested in that one. And Mexico's keeper looked like one of Cyprus Hill.

South Korea were full value for that win against Greece
I thought. Greece played like they were all hungover to a man. Not a bad game. Gonna back those Koreans to come out of that group methinks.

Yeah they weren't bad them South Koreans.

The Argies are looking good going forward, Messi is the dogs bollocks. The defence don't look to clever mind.

Roll on tonight, the first of many bottles is getting opened in about 5 minutes  :BEEEER http://richardhawleyforum.co.uk/templates/exposion_dark/images/logo_phpBB_med.gif :geek:

Nothing to fear from the Argies then.A billion pound stikeforce and they need a Man Utd reject to pull them out of the shit.
As for South Korea they were slightly better than a woeful Greek side.

I wouldnt write off Argentina as a force in this tournament this early. They played against a very dogged team who for virtually the whole game had 10 men behind the ball. If it wasnt for their keeper who made a couple of truly world class saves, Messi would have had a hatrick and they could have scored a couple more besides. I think if anything the crazy manager and the back four will count for their downfall in the end though, I'd back them to maybe get to the quarters though at least, when they need to really turn it on, they will.

England starting line-up v United States: Green; Johnson, Terry, King, A Cole; Lennon, Lampard, Gerrard, Milner; Heskey, Rooney.

They could make me eat my words but I would have started with either james or hart ahead of Green in goal and defo Crouch before heskey, otherwise I think its England's strongest 11.
