Aye, astonishing drummer from Graham Bond Organisation on. Quite clearly a difficult character and heroin seemed to haunt most of his days for big stretches of his life. Cream like Hendrix often sounded better in the studio to me, the restraint and discipline forcing something more sublime. I love the live stuff too but subtlety gets lost and something else happens. There's a great bit from Gonks Go Beat which has the Graham Bond Organisation innit and includes a super drum off

Ginger has a very black leather cap and shades and is playing with many of the session drummers of the day like Bobby Graham and Andy White
