The actor Dudley Sutton died today, September 15th, aged 85. I remember him growing up in the 60s and 70s. He played a gay biker in the film 'The leather boys' (though that was never too apparent to me for some time) plus appearances in a number of British films and TV series, often playing crooks of one kind or other.
In later years he played Tinker in the series 'Lovejoy' ...

That's sad news. He was brilliant. The Leather Boys is one of my favourite films.

His co star in that film also died this year..I liked the scene where they ride off from the Ace Cafe all the way to Scotland-and the guests to a wedding arriving by bus. Worth watching now and then

Oh no, Colin Campbell died too? I still have the film on a fuzzy VCR recording. Great film because of the location filming actually at the Ace Cafe. I once went to a wedding a bit like that one - minus the bus!

I never thought to look for the whole film on YouTube. Thanks Denise.

Watched this recently, thoroughly enjoyed it, loved the scenes filmed in Southend.
