Maybe all you miserable bastards are all being too miserable to say happy new year so I'm going to. You're lovely wee things (apart from the mad-dos) and I wish you all much happiness and loveliness for 2015, with big, gin-soaked kisses to the lot of you (well, almost all). xxxxxx

Yes, let's hope 2015 is a good one as 2014 was a bit crap really.

We've all had years like that exapno, mine was 2011. Had a big glass of gin on New Year's Eve and, whilst having a bit of a bawl, told it to fuck right off. Hope 2015 is better for you lovely. x

Cheers Helen - been work that's dragged me down really iand my mobility is decreasing with psoriatic/rheumatoid arthritis. I shouldn't complain. There's an outside chance I might keep my job or a version of it due to humbling public support so I should count my blessings and I know I have many. Hope your year goes the way you hope

I agree, 2014 was an annus horribilus for our family, so 2015 can only be better. A happy and healthy 2015 to everyone.

I lost my wonderful dad just before Christmas. 2014 ended horrifically for me and I have started 2015 with the same broken heart. I just hope things feel a bit better soon because I am in a black hole at the moment. Sorry to be depressing and I wish everyone a happy and contented 2015. X

Oh Lou, I'm so sorry. Am lucky enough to still have both of mine but I lost my best friend of over 20 years in 2011 and I have been in the black hole you're in. Nothing anyone says will change what has happened but what Richard says is true. People say time is a great healer and it's only at times like this you realise that it's true. Over time, the pain does ease and you can begin to remember people without spiralling into a misery that you find it hard to get out of. Just give yourself time and don't expect not to hurt. You loved him and he loved you and you're bound to feel bereft. My lovely darling, big hugs to you. If you ever need to let off to anyone about anything, I have good ears. Take care beautiful. x
