Ah yeah of course, I saw Jarvis at that big Cohen tribute show a year or two back. He was clearly the best on the night, everyone there seemed to agree, and this was a bit before i was really into Pulp. He did a fantastic version of chelsea hotel. anyhow i'm rambling again.

If anyone is even a remote Cohen fan I'd make getting to one of these concerts a severe priority :)

(last time i'll mention it Richard, I promise ;))

Alan, I have that concert on dvd, its fab! You're right, Jarvis was the best. most of them were really good though, Nick Cave, Beth Orton, Martha wainwright etc etc. Hx

Yeah most of it was great, Hallelujah was a bit dodgy though. I presume its the Dublin one you mean yeah? where'd you get the dvd?

You know what would have been fan-bloody-tastic? Going to Glastonbury this weekend and seeing both Hawley and Cohen in the same field on the same weekend. Pure Heaven!

Hopefully they will both be televised, anyone know if they are?

BBC4 Friday night from 23.20 (including Jimmy Cliff)
BBC3 Saturday morning 00.45

Yeah meant to get hold of that, it didn't gte a cinema release here. the concert i went to was in 2006 and there was a few more Irish acts there and Lou Reed but mostly the same

I have just searched through BBC iplayer and there is hardly a mention of
Leonard Cohen never mind any footage from Glastonbury, really pissed off!!! (':cry:')

Was anyone there to give report?

I should keep an eye on the web - there are loads of blogs and video clips about - the BBC site is a good one as well for video streams so you may get lucky! :wink:

hmm, i found it bizarre that everyone was saying he was the highlight of the whole festival and yet there was zilch footage of him on either bbc2, bcc3 or bbc4.
