Chris Rea and the return of the Hohfner Bluenotes and the Belmonts, Colston Hall BRISTOL last night. Absolutely firkin superb.
The man has recoverd from his cancer godwilling permanently and I kept thinking what if we could get Richard Shez and him on the same stage and setlist see below

Chris Rea is indeed great live, I've seen him loads of times....but I thought his last tour was his 'Farewell'???

His dad sold the best ice cream round here.

hey Maggie I think you're right as I saw his last one too and nabbed the poster and the setlist from that and its up in my music den/study/office/general junkroom - it says "farewell tour" !!!!!!!!
Anyway he can keep saying farewell as often as he likes I don't mind based on the quality on Sunday.
In fairness it was billed as "the return of" some of his previous bands and at least half the setlist was from his early days.
Still bloody good though and the early stuff can be quite reminiscent of one R Hawley - have you heard of him ?? :D
