Post subject:  Rockabilly in Dublin this Saturday March 8th

Seeing as there are a few Irish/Rockabillies on here:

Image

First Stomping Ground night since January. Expect the usual mix of 50’s rockabilly, 60’s Garage, Surf, nasty RocknRoll & 70’s punk. First band onstage 9.00pm sharp. T-shirts & retro clothing on sale on the night from Hysteria (Temple Bar). DJ follows the last band onstage

Stomping Ground presents
ACES WILD + THE BONNEVILLES (NI) + OONA & THE DEVILS
Sat March 8th@ Eamon Dorans (Temple Bar)
Doors: 8.30pm.
First Band onstage @ 9.00pm Sharp.

ACES WILD: Kick ass Rockabilly from Dublin's finest 4 piece outfit. Aces Wild launched their debut album "Get Gone" last year & features 12 cuts of 50’s authentic Rockabilly. Expect a Hot & heavy set by the boys.

THE BONNEVILLES: are a garage punk blues duo from Lurgan, thirty miles south of Belfast – an unlikely combination, but what a result. Andrew McGibbon Junior on guitar and vocals and Chris McMullen on drums, formerly known collectively as the Motorsounds, are part of a new wave of musicians who are reinventing the blues for people who grew up with punk and grunge, with songs that are hard, angry and relevant.

OONA & THE DEVILS: Debut performance by this new Dublin band which features the sultry voice of Oona White & 3 ex members of legendary Dublin Rockabilly band “Those Handsome Devils”. With this winning combination you know this band are gonna set the pace amongst the rockabilly fraternity.

Ta for that Johnny!!!

Would love to be able to make it...the mam's got her 50th (yes, she's a young'un!) this coming week, so we've still to find out what her plans are for birthdayness, as she doesn't want -any- surprise of -any- kind (seeing as she's trying desperately to get the bp down!!).

Have my fingers crossed I'll be able to make it though!!!
