Well yeah, apart from shagging 13 year old girls.

And he killed John Bonham with wax effigies and pins....this is of course unfounded rumour but it sounds feasible to me

The shagging of 13 year old girls isn't unfounded rumour. Very well documented. :x

whatever anyone thinks about weller now or whatever.

The other two setting up as The Jam with some other dude singing which Im led to believe is the case is a load of bollocks. I used to have a lot of respect for those guys but for them to do that to me is a fuck off to jam fans, I wouldnt so much mind if weller was the drummer or whatver instead of the guy who actually wrote 95% of the songs and fronted the band, nahhh. fuck that shit.

Bit like The Doors with Ian Astbury.....though at least John Densmore proved that some drummers have a bit of cool..

Stacks of bands have done that though, Eoin. Some of them have been superb as well - look at The Pirates for example. OK a bit different because Johnny Kidd was dead, but as far as The Jam is concerned weller might as well be - he's always made it very clear there could never be a reunion.

Much as I was, and remain, a huge Jam fan, I really have no problem with it. Those guys were original members of the band, so why shouldn't they be allowed to play the songs? In the end, the public will decide if its a success or not.
