the jam are doing a 20 date tour later this spring. but without weller. i mean, come on. the guy wrote the tunes, sang them, fronted the band, guitar, etc, etc. i don't know how they've got the nerve. weller should put a stop to it.

I saw The Jam live many, many times. Loved 'em.

But nothing he has done since has come even remotely close. The odd decent tune, but nowt to compare with The Jam.

no doubt hes tried to. im surprised at bruce foxton. he must need the dosh (to pay for the face-lift he seems to have had recently!).

Didn't really have an interest in what they looked like at the time, I remember the drummer looked like a hard bastard, and Foxton had a pokey face. But they were f*cking shit hot as a band.

I too tried and failed to get into anything Mr weller did afterwards. :roll:
