Fifth gig in six days and the last one until next Tuesday - the legendary Dan Stuart at St Lawrence's in Biddulph. My late mate Craig, his partner Jo and I attended many a Green on Red gig back in the day, so it was a delight to book Dan. He lived up to the legend. Incredible character.

A busy month of gigs that I'm promoting continued with the return of Rod Picott. Delighted to have Hawleyboarders Craig, Maggie and Mr Whalley in attendance too.

Two more, in two days - first up was the album launch of local musos Dawson Dean - 60s inspired harmony driven jangle-pop. I ran the merch table, did the lights and the get in and out on this one too.



The next day it was up the road for another Biddulph up in Arms gig which I promoted - Josienne Clarke - glorious autumnal melancholy inside and outside the room.

Then it was a morning train to London to see Altered Images' show for the 40th anniversary of the "Bite" album - I was at its Hammersmith Palais premiere too...

..and then I caught an early train back and on the same night I went to see a night of garage-psych from The Hanging Stars + The Crystal Teardrop + Large Father at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek.

I travelled to Groningen in the Netherlands to attend the Take Root Festival (note to RH management - RH would be a perfect fit as a headliner here)
On Friday, I saw Garrett T. Capps (Stoner psychedelic punk) supported by The Pink Stones (Southern country-soul) at the Vera club:

I saw US country act Sunny Sweeney in Leek and did a photoshoot with her pre-gig, but signed an exclusivity notice on the images, so here's one of support act Helen Walford and Steve Giddings, taken in soundcheck while they were perfecting the open G chord.
