On a rooftop in Brooklyn awaiting the Pulp film! Saw it last night at Lincoln Center and met the director. Just ran into Jarvis in the stairwell and the DJs played The Streets. And we get free drinks after! Wow.

Just been to see the fabulous Mr Robbie Fulks on one of his rare visits over here - saw him in Leeds on 6th August and Newcastle-upon-Tyne on the 7th - then drove down back to Stoke the same night and got up to drive down to Broadstairs to play the Pavilion on the 8th....

Robbie Fulks and the Mekons! (As videoed by me)

Robbie Fulks in Newcastle, solo (Again videoed by me)

And photos...

Echo & the Bunnymen this weekend, two nights in New York. Who would have thought we'd see these bands over 30 years later, right? It's funny how I post here and remember making the same posts last year.

After some Internet shenanigans over the last few weeks, November is looking mighty fine.........

Billy Idol - Manchester
Lykke Li - Manchester
Robert Plant - Leeds
John Grant - Manchester
Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott - Blackburn

Working from home on Fridays always helps!

Last Pete Molinari @Sound Control Manchester 8th September

Great night - with the added attraction of free read aerophone contribution from Beaux Nidle for several tracks ..>

Next Neil McSweeney @ Davenham & Sandiway Players Theatre 19th September.

Ticket sales are going all reet for this - thanks to the folks from here that have bought in and are travelling a fair few miles for the gig - it will be a mini Hawley board meet up - I have a half mile walk home :bigsmurf:

This will be fantastic......trying to free up that weekend before the tickets go on sale.

Anyone been to a gig there before :?:

"Anna Calvi has lined up a special show at St John Church of Hackney in London on December 13.

Calvi, who will be joined by the Heritage Orchestra and an all female choir for the December 13 show, will be inviting past, present and future collaborators to join her as special guests on stage. Fans can expect new orchestra versions of her album songs, some album songs that have never ever been performed live, new covers, and some new original material. Tickets are on sale at 9am on October 10, priced at £22.50, plus fees."
