Glamour vs. straight down-to-earth? -
I prefer "Fake Tales Of San Francisco" to fakes tales of San Francisco.

Along with yer woman out of Rilo Kiley this album's on steady rotation at house of Mog. The lyrics are some of the smartest and wittiest of any rock and roll band EVER. If you don't beleive me try and get a listen to 'red lights indicate doors are secured' a perfect tale of a night out.... told well. top stuff.

Yeah, but it's "River" not "Well".

Hmmm, that's how the track is listed on iTunes. Will drop 'em a note.

I've only heard "When the sun goes down" like 2 times, but it seems they're starting to get a name in Norway..are they from Sheffield?

Yep, they certainly are!!! Currently doing very well indeed.

The next crop of Sheffield bands to look out for are Milburn, Bromhead's Jacket, Little Man Tate & The Harrisons.

Oh, and notr forgetting The Johnson Enquiry!

There is a really great music scene in the city at the moment.

Arctic Monkeys - "When the sun goes down", I've seen that video on the TV everyday lately, on Svisj which is a show where the viewers vote for which song they want to hear.
Just thought maybe it would be nice for you Sheffield people to hear they're doing well in Norway... nice accent.

That video was shot in Sheffield, Ida.

Sorry I haven't read all of this thread.

I'm 40 and this band move their generation.

To me this is Rock n Roll in their time at it's fucking best.

This band are so good, it's untrue.

Yes, I very much relate to them.

It is something new. It's so dead pan and Northern I just love it.

It's also completely stupid, which I'm a big fan of.

I've had afew drinks and I'm going to put the album on.

I can't wait, it's so good.
