‘Too’ is the second album by Good Luck Mountain, led by ex Tandy singer songwriter Mike Ferrio.

Mike Ferrio began his musical journey in the 80s as a roadie for the likes of Bo Diddley and Butthole Surfers, before forming folk rock tour de force Tandy in the 90’s, managing a dozen years of exceptional productivity which included over 1,000 live shows and 8 albums.

From the ashes of Tandy, Good Luck Mountain first appeared with their eponymous debut album in 2011, with ‘Too’ being the perfect follow up. It’s a wondrous production – passionate, reflective, and transcendental, which musically recalls the likes of Sparklehorse, REM, Van Morrison’s ‘Astral Weeks’ and Talk Talk.

Recorded at Atomic Sound in New York by Merle Chornuk (Ryan Adams, Jesse Malin), the album features the wildly talented band of Malcolm Holcombe, Ana Egge, Canadian rocker Matt Mays, The Mastersons, (Eleanor Whitmore & Chris Masterson also of Steve Earle’s band) and Jason Mercer (of Ron Sexsmith’s band).

Already receiving rave reviews from critics and peers alike, legendary troubadour Steve Earle is an early and longtime supporter and Jim White continues to spread the word about his love for Mike and his music. There’s no doubt that ‘Too’ is another large step for Mike Ferrio as he continues to cement his reputation as one of the great American songwriters of our generation.

A warm, elegiac record built around Ferrio’s gently expressive voice” – Uncut Magazine

Rarely is an album as affecting, and in terms of casting its spell it has already scaled a most magnificent peak” – No Depression

***JACK HARRIS***

The literate, compassionate songs of Jack Harris have won him much acclaim in songwriting circles. A South by Southwest showcasing artist at 17, Jack was also the first international act to win the New Folk songwriting competition at The Kerrville Folk Festival, Texas. Previous winners include Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett, Gillian Welch and Devon Sproule.

Jack has also gigged frequently in the UK, USA and Europe, both as a support act and headline performer. He has made several appearances at The Green Man Festival, and opened for some of folk music’s biggest names, including Dick Gaughan, Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick, as well as contemporary songwriters like Anais Mitchell and Jeffrey Foucault.

Jack’s live show is a riveting mix of song-craft and story-telling, adorned by intricate fingerstyle guitar and smoky, soulful vocals. Drawing from the narrative traditions of folk and blues music, Jack brings both into the here and now; a “born poet”, whose songs are steeped in myth and mystery.

In equal measures traditional and contemporary… A unique approach to song composition, utterly beautiful.” Maverick Magazine

Jack is a priest of song who holds himself to a rigorous, ancient code of beauty most of us have forgotten exists.” Anais Mitchell
