Hi folks,

Looking around at Richards gigs, it seems we are a group of all kinds of folks, so I wonder what gigs we have all been to this year. Or by the end of the year. Mine includes a couple of festivals so a long list but in case anyone is curious... I will tell you mine, so you tell me yours.....

Lightning seeds
Florence n the machine
Miles kane
Mr Hawley
Django Django,

Bruce Springsteen
Elbow
Leeds festival - Kasabian, the cure, foo fighters, jake bugg, florence, lucy rose bla bla!

Yet to come:
Elbow

Pulp

no wonder i didnt get a proper holiday! What a great way to enjoy my hard earned cash though :*: 8)

I mainly go see Hawley [2] - Colorama [3 ] - but also have time for Verden Allen [Softground] [3] Duane Eddy [1] Whitehorse [1] Rachel Harrington [1].

Have Ian Hunter [5] and Neil McSweeney [1] lined up.

And don't let 's forget the support acts seen T. G Elias [3] Lisa Hannigan [1] and Roaming Son [1] - with Otis Gibbs [5] to come.

And I've probably forgotten a couple which will be embarassing - I had to be reminded of the Duane Eddy and Verden Allen gigs

Chuck Prophet
Dave Alvin

..and then there's the bands who I've seen at the festivals that I've played this year - honourable mentions go to The Carrivick Sisters, Green Diesel, Chumbawamba, Amanda Shires, Richard Buckner, Dan Baird and not forgetting the great Martin Carthy.

Coming up I've got a ticket for Trampled by Turtles in Birmingham and there's an outside chance I might see Maddy Prior tomorrow night, if I can get my stuff packed for my school exchange trip to Germany in time...

So far:
Elbow
Nick Lowe
The Wedding Present
Flight of the Conchords

To come:
Mumford and Sons (maybe)
Billy Bragg (ace!!)
Clodplay (disclaimer - husband's choice)

Bit of an amateurish showing - husband doesn't share my musical tastes and I left my gig buddy back in the UK, so I have to cajole other people into going with me. But - husband did come with me to Nick Lowe, which I bought tickets for following recommendations on here, and it was a great night which even he enjoyed - so thanks loads for that everyone. ..>
Also had tickets for Peter Hook and the Light play Joy Division, but it was cancelled. Needless to say husband wasn't coming with me to that one!! :*:
