Impossible choice, but you can't beat Homer.

I fancy a pint with Lenny and Carl.

Lenny: There's nothing like revenge for getting back at people.
Carl: Vengeance isn't too bad either.

Another creeping sign of american imperialism..........since when did 'seasons' replace 'series'? Doh.

Fight the fight brothers!

Okay, give you that one smart arse (it's late on a saturday night and I should be down the pub, not here)......but you'll find it that phrase being linked to British shows nowadays.

Fair enough for an English show, but i've no problem calling something American what the American's call it. Not sure how well i'd fare in expecting the same from them though....

Apparently there is some sort of semantic difference between 'series' and 'season', but I'm not 100% sure what it is.

I haven't seen much of the Simpsons lately, for obvious reasons, but I understand it's not as good as it used to be. I heard the other day that Barney is now sober?? :?: :?: :?: :? :? :( :x

I still read the comic books though. :D

I seem to remember in the States their schedules are split into 'seasons' that fall in line with the seasons of the year. So sometime in the Winter, for example, [edit - that should be at the start of winter obviously] on every channel you'd get all the new runs of shows starting in the same week. Funnily enough that was something i picked up from a Simpsons episode...

It would also tie in with most 'seasons' of shows being either 13 episodes, or 22+ (in which case it would run for 2 seasons of the year).
