January's Americana Night offers eomthing a little different to the usual. This month we have five fine acts each paying tribute to The Boss with their own unique takes on some of Bruce Springsteen's finest works. You can expect to hear performances of songs covering the entire span of his 30odd years of recordings. Taking to the stage will be Dave Woodcock, Steve Gascoigne, Dave Sleney, GT Turbo and Colin Mounsey, five Yorkshire singer/songwriters all getting just a little bit New Jersey for the evening. Doors open at 7.30pm and entry will be £3.

The good news for music lovers is that sadly Mr Sleney's had to pull out of this. Negotioations are at an imaginery stage for Michael J. Fox to perform 'The River' on spoons.

Sorry to all you 'Dave' fans out there, but my glass back is preventing me doing much of anything of late. :(

*My pull out had absolutely nothing to do with me not being top of the bill or that my 'rider' requirements were once again ignored.*

I've told you Dave, even the worlds biggest rock stars don't get carried onto the stage by 10 midgets who have been painted gold! And as for Guinness flavoured Tootie Fruities, no can do.

it was his request for midgets that tasted like rasberries that proved to be the straw that broke the camels back (no pun intended)

Shame Mr Woodcock got in there first with the raspberry flavoured midgets, though he might be prepared to share you never know..
