According to a piece on Irish radio today, Jerry Dammers is not taking part because he wasn't asked to! The radio presenter described it as "a coup" organised by people in HIS own band. They didn't want him involved!
Sad, if this is the truth.

Hmm...apparently at the couple of festival shows they played unannounced, he was spotted side of stage watching, but didn't take part....curiouser and curiouser...

Specials gig ----- Ricoh Arena , Coventry ---- 15th May.

Tickets on sale 9 am today . Local paper says Dammer not playing.

Mine too, cats! Royal Court, Liverpool, in the early summer of 1981 I reckon. Were you there?

I was only 13!! What was I doing at a Specials gig?

mine was autumn '79 Portsmouth Guildhall, support from The Selector and Madness ... it was great ... and I was ... :roll: ... only 3 :wink:
