So, from the sum total of 106 shots taken I manged to salvage these, I do quite like the second one, bit blurry and all but there's a bit of atmosphere I suppose. Feel free to save on your desktop Luke ;)

Number 4 is number 1 for me...

In fact I'd go for a blow up of the hands...

Hey Chris - not a bad haul given the one song rule/lighting. How tight is that? I've never heard of a one song rule before.

Cheers, I think they're ok. I just wish I had some that were really well lit & sharp & whatnot as well.

As for the one song rule, it is unusual but I've no quarrel with it really because I think it's absolutely a band's prerogative as to whether they let anyone in to take pics at all. But seeing as they did they could have at least have put the lights on for the one song or let us shoot one that did have them. Mr Cave is probably just having a laugh, he's known for this kind of thing. A mate did a Grinderman gig at ATP a while back, there were 15 or so photographers and he made them all stand at the far side of the stage in front of Warren Ellis, so they weren't in his line of vision, in a photo pit that was 5ft wide - for one song. :*:

it was an almost perfect set list, would've liked a couple more off Let Love In maybe - Jangling Jack, Do You Love Me? etc but no complaints, & the new stuff blended in with the classics perfectly. And no Straight To You, which I can't stand. He'd been playing it earlier in the tour as well so that was a relief.

I enjoyed the support as well - what were they called again?

fuckers, you got the ship song and manc got 'straight to you'. I wrote down the manc set list then lost it, a couple of differences to what you had.

great shots given the circumstances snapper.

I once did some shots in the preservation hall in new orleans where no flash was allowed and the stage was lit by about 2 forty watt bulbs. I had no option but to go creatively blurred...
