More details to come on this (which the eagle eyed will spot), but some advance notice for Dave at The Grapes soonish...

On Wednesday November 26th we bring our Acousticish Night to The Grapes where we'll have 4 fine singer/songwriters for your listening pleasure. The night kicks off at 8pm and entry will be £3.

***DAVE SLENEY***

Having shared a stage at The Grapes this year with the likes of Rachel Harrington, Neil McSweeney and The Lonesome & Penniless Cowboys, singer/songwriter Dave Sleney reutrns to head up the bill for this evening. As well as the country tinged indie pop sounds of his former band, Dave is currently performing a glut of heartfelt new material in the downbeat singer/songwriter tradition. You can no doubt expect his own interpretations of a few classic pop tunes too.

***FRANK***

When not drumming with his band Theech, Frank has taken to performing songs in the classic singer/songwriter tradition of the likes of Bob Dylan. Drawing a more modern influence from the likes of Willy Mason, which clearly shines through in his work, he comes to The Grapes to road test some new material with his guitar and harmonica in tow.

***THE NUBBIN***

Putting the Ish into our Acousticish night will be The Nubbin with a solo electric performance. With a sound pitched at dirt road Americana and a bag of influences that includes the likes of Beck, The Nountain Goats and Mercury Rev, you can be sure to expect something just a little bit different.

And the rest of it....

***JOE WAN***

With a love of acoustic music, and what he describes as "your loverboy/romantic style", singer/songwriter Joe Wan brings his brand of upbeat tunes about youthful experiences to The Grapes.

Yes, I'm looking forward to Craig having to carry me onstage due to the severity of my dicky back.........but as they say, the show must go on.

Be good to see anyone who can make it down! :D

Hope it goes OK and that you don't freeze in the one position and have to be carried off stage as well! :*:
