So tickets for this gig just went on sale this morning via http://www.livenation.co.uk I was a little confused about whether or not RH or other RH band members were playing (see the other TC thread). Any more info anyone? I'm sure it would be a good gig anyway, just interested to know. :)

I'm heading there later today to get tickets.

Eoin's post included "Christie will showcase the album with backing from Hawley's musicians."

Cadogan Hall's site says:

Tony Christie plus special guests
A Live Nation presentation in association with Free Trade
Programme:
Tony Christie, one of the UK’s most timeless and classic artists of our time, is pleased to announce five very special shows to co-incide with the release of his highly anticipated album ‘Made In Sheffield’.

True, it's not clear if the original announcement was that the backing musicians are playing with Tony on the tour, or just on the album. However as they know the music it would make sense they were doing the tour.

I'm going anyway as I really enjoyed the song we heard at the RAH, and Cadogan Hall is close to where I work.

Thanks Denise. I think I'm going to go as well, despite the pain of £27.50 plus £4 plus £3 (mmm... lovely ticketmaster)

I shall go to the box office and save all that extra, I've paid those ticket thuggeries enough over the years.

Mr Christie won't know what has hit him. The rest of the front row is still available by the way. There's a good seating plan on their web site and a really nice guy in the box office.

The place is very good - we've had a few company AGMs there - and it is about two minutes walk at most from Sloane Square tube, with plenty of places around to eat/drink although we'll need recommendations as to pubs.

You'll find a few down the avenues and alleyways round there

I picked up the Cadogan Hall's brochure which has some recommendations, but as you come out of the station you 'fall over' about 10 eating places.

Received my ticket in the post yesterday! If his performance at the Albert Hall is anything to go by it should be a good night :*:
