I noticed you got more response about the pubs than the parking. :*: I hope you managed to find somewhere. We used the car park right next to the Phil.

We used that car park - as well - it was surprisingly easy to get to! The pub was great -thanks Richard - a really beautiful pub, and Elvis was great - I've seen him before over the last 30 years from dodgy pubs in SW London but this was one of the oddest - the orchestra was amazing and the songs were fantastic - wasn't keen on the opera but can't win them all.
I was shocked by Liverpool though - there must have been about a mile of boarded up houses as you drive in - whole areas without anybody living in them - this contrasted with the audience who all seemed dressed up to the nines!!!!!

So glad you enjoyed it. Liverpool is a City of contrasts. I still haven't visited yet in this Year of Culture. I will soon, I hope.
