I wet to see Rufas Wainright here in Cork at The Opera House on Sat last and I must say he gave a blinding performance. He was performing solo with just guitar & piano. Before I went to see him live I used to find him hard to take for long periods of time. The Opera House would be a great venue for Richard if he ever decides to play here.

I think he's amazing, I love the Judy Garland Carnegie Hall tribute thing.

There is a girl working with me who is a true Wainright nut and saw that show at The London Palladium and she loaned me the DVD of the show and it was a great. He is a great stage performer.

Did he strip off at the end? I hear he's quite fond of that. Great musician and one of the best male vocalists active today.

Saw Rufus at the Manchester Apollo last year and he was fantastic.
He's doing the solo show supporting Neil Young at the Hop Farm Gig in July, can't wait.

I saw him at Sheffield City Hall a couple of years back. Very good. At the end he came back on in flowing robes & they stuck a crown of thorns on his head, brought a cross on stage, & staged a mock crucifixion. Very odd, but a great performer.

It was all very tongue in cheek, but a bit startling. He had Joan As Policewoman in his backing band - now there is a woman! 8)
