If he was really sharp he'd go for the Dylan route and just have a neverending tour!

can't stand big venues. promised meself after a disastrous gig in liverpool at the big tent king's dock thingy - when i couldn't see at all! - that i would never go to one again.

it's sooooo hard though

Oh what a shame? How about if they're seated?

I know the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend is all seated but its probably too far (and I don't think the sound quality is great in there anyhow)......

the liverpool one was seated that was the problem. i had a decent seat but i still couldnt see a bloody thing (except the top of his head!) and security were dead strict and wouldnt let you move around. towards the end i managed to get up near the front and couldnt believe what id missed once i got a full view of the stage.

very frustrating.

The venue is a bummer, although Arcade Fire wre great there before xmas. The standing area isn't cramped or heaving, and they have people who wander round with kegs of beer on their backs pouring out beer straight into your glass, no queues, the beer comes to you! :*:
I couldn't be sat at home whilst weller is playing in town. Got my tickets.

I had the same dilemma over the price of Neil Young tickets at the Apollo, I just couldn't pay that money for a concert. But it worked out for the best as I'm off to Hop Farm for the festival with him, Supergrass, Rufus Wainwright etc.
