Haven't been to Water Rats since 2005, will be interesting to see the place again.

Haven't been either - was looking at going for a show by The Rails a year or two back but it all became a bit too expensive...friends have said it is [or was] a tip - but sometimes tips are good.

Jason Isbell was fan-bluddy-tastic. Saw Maggie and Craig outside! I got down the front and managed to get some decent snaps.

The following night I drove up with an old-school mate to Manchester Arena to see the Corrs. We were over halfway back, but I managed to get my Canon SX50 HS superzoom in...

Next - I'm playing Gloucester Cajun & Zydeco Festival at the weekend. After that it's probably Lauren Housley in Biddulph.

We played Gloucester Cajun & Zydeco festival at the Guildhall this weekend. We were playing Sunday lunchtime, so we went down the day before to make a weekend of it. Here are Zydeco Boogaloo who played on the Saturday night, with the ever-dapper Mr Gavin Lewery on accordion:

It's been refurbished. The pub part is much nicer than before, the gig part probably had a coat of paint.

Yay Foals! I'm hoping for Foals here, but not attached to a festival.

Not in order, and some I still need to get tickets for. Goodbye, money!:

Godspeed You! Black Emperor

M. Ward

Andrew Bird

David Sedaris

Neil deGrasse Tyson

They Might Be Giants

Garrison Keillor

Oh crap, I'm going to miss Andrew Bird because I will be at my 25th college reunion. Trade-offs! :|

Had a great time over last weekend taking in Ian Hunter & The Rant Band @ Coventry and Wrexham - although Wrexham was a seated venue the set up was pretty good - and would be happy to see him play there again sometime - capacity of about 900 and a good crowd was there on the night.

Set was pretty much as the last time I saw them in October 2014 - crowd were receptive as ever both nights - everyone had a great time - Honaloochie was introduced as 'the song I don't like - but you folks do' or something similar - highlights if we are being picky [it's all highlights really] - Ian forgetting the words to Once Bitten Twice Shy and the band helping him out - being a few feet away from MC Bosch giving the Les Paul a good going over during Black Tears and Bastard - and Rest In Peace for saying everything without anyone saying anything.
