Not sure I can count it as a gig, because it was a play, but it was a play about Hank Williams and had a pretty decent band and the guy playing Hank Williams would pass and the show was mostly just his songs strung together with very little dialogue.

I've just spent a few days relaxing in Paris, and saw this chap, Barna Howard, play a free gig in a small pub. This is his first venture playing a small number of gigs in Europe, and his second album is to be released shortly. Give him a look and a listen.

Went to see the fabulous Merry Hell in The Freebird pub (yes, it is indeed named after the song. It has paintings of Deep Purple on the wall too...) supported by my mates in Headsticks and Wilcox:Hulse, as well as local singer-songwriter Giro Junkie.

Agit-Folk punk is alive and well in Stoke-on-Trent.

Gaz Coombes at The Leadmill last night was fantastic, all rounded of with a booming version
of Break The Silence. :Hoorah

First time at The Leadmill  and also first time at The Royal Standard boozer just down
the road. Full of interesting music stuff including a drawing of RH.

Great night. ..>

SO. GOOD. She killed it here the other night, but then she always does. I've been lucky enough to get to see her a couple of times with Rilo Kiley, and once with the Watson twins. I missed the last time she was here solo, and if I can avoid music festivals at all I will, or I could have seen her again before now. But this was just heavenly. Yay, a fellow fan! :)

Haha, just realized Garfunkel and Oates are starring in your profile pic. That's awesome. :)
