the best version of Jeane I have ever heard is by a guy called Jack Hayter. He used to be in a band called Hefner but thats about all I know about the fella. His is a cracking version of that song is no longer on his myspace but I can send to those who might be interested. I love The Smith's one too though.

Bleedin' 'ell. I'm going to have to be nice to you aren't I?

 please don't let it be megapixiesdancinginthetwilight as completely beyond my ken.

I really liked / like the single 'Please Help The Cause Against Loneliness' that Moz and Stephen Street penned and arranged for her in the late '80's. Very jaunty effort. I've got a version with Moz himself on vocals also somewhere.
I've also got a Smiths bootleg on which she sings Jeane to a bunch of bewildered schoolchildren whilst Johnny Marr plays acoustic. Its incredibly odd but very good and was on some obscure kids tv show around 1983 I think.

Since nobody else did...:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRjJ1H11 ... re=related

Child: "Where are we going?"
Moz: "We're all going mad".

I must say though, the man himself hates such clips, so nobody look or enjoy it, ok.
