Here's how to play when you show up without a guitar and amp, they found a guitar to lend him at least....I love Ronnie Dawson.

Thanks for posting that, great stuff. Despite looking like one of the Chuckle Brothers and wearing trainers, that was really cool :) How many musicians would carry on with an un-amped guitar and make something of it?

I loved this show when it was first broadcast and it still stands up as pure homage to Carl Perkins

Watch everything from the session..it's killer

Put this up because it shows George Harrison's pure devotion to Carl when he knocks off the Scotty Moore solo from That's Alright. Harrison stuck rockabilly solos everywhere on the Beatles' records from Can't Buy Me Love to All My Loving

I love Carl Perkins, that rough beauty he got out of his guitar. Saw him once and wasn't sure what to expect but he played down the line rockabilly just like his records and was magical

There's a clip on there of George singing Your True Love at Carl's memorial service. Acoustic knockout but real love in Harrison's effort

I had that same feeling of "intrusion" but it actually looks like a TV broadcast - probably one of those religious channels. Very touching. I only found it last week
