That's as good as it gets.

Let's hope it's dropped onto the new album.

Update 12 hours later playing this on repeat - my Christmas Song for 2012.

Cheers Santa!

One of the funniest Christmas songs, and still with a timely enough lyric for these "rich boys" times

Have yourself a merry merry Christmas
Have yourself a good time
But remember the kids who got nothin'
While you're drinkin' down your wine

And just because it sends goosebumps through me

Generally, can't help but like the Phil Spectre Xmas stuff – a bit cheesy I know but that kind of music was always on in our house when I was a kid – Darlene Love, what a star. Me and my sisters used to pretend we were the Ronettes, singing into felt tips and borrowing my mum's dresses – she had one that was Rayon and looked like oil in a puddle – god, I'd love to get my hands on it now.

Went to the Carole King Xmas thing that Richard played at last Xmas and Gregory Porter did this.

You could hear the collective heave of bosoms as every woman in the room fell in love just a little bit. x
