I heard the 'new one' on the radio yesterday...its such a simple 'ditty'. She seemed to be saying that the sex they had did not make her scream and therefore she did not respect him. There is no depth to her lyrics and possibly not to her either...

I like her.

Ok it's 'pop', and its not especially eloquent, but it's authentic. She shoots from the hip, and I admire that. It's refreshing that today pop music means Lily Allen, ten years ago it was inexcusable tripe like Steps and A1 etc. Synthetic saccharine.

Oh and she's got some great tunes too.

I actually own the album 'alright now' and loved 'Smile' when it first came out. I thought she was witty, fresh and feisty (back then) and NOT at all pop. In fact does she even put herself in the pop category? Fuck knows, dont care no more either....am scroting my way to the back...

Whilst not exactly being Ms. Allen's biggest fan, if it's a choice between her and the likes of simon cowell's mass-produced soulless never-ending calvalcade of unmusical clones, i know who i'd prefer.
