If Dave Sleney did cover versions he should do this.

Last night I got a message on Facebook from my mate's daughter, Jen, who sings in the band Pickering-White with her other half Matt. They wanted a promo video putting together reflecting their current duo status, to send off to festivals and the like. I charged my camera batteries up, dug out a digital recorder I'd got and went along and filmed, recorded and produced this: we started filming at 12.30, and I completed the audio and video mix about 4.30, including uploading it to Youtube. Mr H, if you're after a couple of talented modest and down to earth young 'uns for a support act, you could do worse than give these pair a call.

Because I had a small windfall last October just as this was up for pre-order.

So I took the plunge. Glad I did, it's beautiful. The book is from Grant McLennan's library. Which is a bit of an odd thing to get but rather nice. A lot of wonderful music went unwritten when he died so young...

Jealous of the Go-Betweens stuff - looks fantastic.

Loved the last record and I think the new one will be a bit special from what I'm hearing. Got lucky and managed to bag tickets for his show in Whelans which is sold out....

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Yep, would have liked to have seen him live. He's in Leeds and Manchester next month but I'm on
holiday for both!

Enjoy. ..>

Looking forward to seeing him at Village Underground next month (and hearing the full album). Been too long since he was last in the UK. Wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the Summer for one (or more) of the festivals.

Would be a good Bond Theme, Stephen Emmer, Liam McKahey and Vanessa Contenay-Quinones; produced by Tony Visconti. I was extremely lucky to hear this live at Abbey Road studios.
