Great news - really looking forward to this..... :D

Me too!!!

I note one of the encores is a cover of the American traditional folk song, Water Boy, accompanied by Martin Simpson on guitar. Small world. Martin Simpson lived in Bloomington, Indiana, in the mid-1980s and I had the opportunity to meet him and hear him play many times. Great musician who has as phenomenal a knowledge of American folk music as he does British.

P.S. Eh up, Jean. Hope you are well. Are you sending any of the photos you took in Holmfirth to be included in the album? There were some crackers.....

When this was announced Parlophone was part of EMI - things have changed and the label was bought by Universal. That may have a bearing on the timing of the release.

Do you know which gig this was recorded at, RP?

It was a one-off at the Apple Store Regent Street on 27 November 2007, a few of us were there.

Worth getting if just for the appearance of Clive Mellors on harmonica on I'm So Lonesome.

I was there 8) It was brilliant, Richard, Shez and Clive were on top form. I really hope the City Hall live album does come out as it was a great gig which I reaaaaaally want to hear again.
