the river and open sound like soundtrack songs that could have been used on something like 'local hero'. barrel is just stunning, up there with the best.

Hi Richard,

Really enjoying the new tunes. Wonderful sound as always. Just got myself a whisky to drink whilst playing them through again.

Cheers, Pash.

Just downloaded the tracks too, brilliant. :D Don't know what's up with the arseholes posting on the Guardian site. All these self-styled music critics get up my nose :eh?

If you have iTunes create a playlist (the plus sign at the bottom of the screen), drag the songs to that playlist. CD in PC, playlist open, right mouse on the name of the playlist, choose burn to CD.

Local Hero my favourite film - Pennan where it was filmed is just down the road from Dufftown - but being a fan of loopallu you knew that already

Update : 45 miles so maybe not just down the road...

been having a proper listen to the tracks all day- great stuff as always- the ebst thing about richards music is he never treads the same ground and is always looking for a way forward rather than resting on his laurels- some brave choices that paid off and sound ace... though i imagine the river could be a bit of a bugger to pull off live :*:

Did you get a similar deal to the ice cream one? i.e. crates of Glenfiddich on your doorstep? :*:

Beautiful music as always though Richard. ..>
