Richard Hawley :: View topic - Another Place

I love the gormley 'another place; sculptures with a passion, anyone who uses them as political collateral and points scoring, needs a good kicking. public art you can touch and interact with and climb on is the best kind.

The kids love the yorkshire sculpture park and I have some ace pics of them there.

yorkshire sculpture park is bloody fantastic. there was an exhibition on by andy goldsworthy recently that was sublime. all natural stuff like dry stone walls, tree trunks, cow shit, sheep prints, hare's blood, birch twigs interlaced. absolutely amazing.

barbara hepworth's exhibition at st ives is just beautiful. what a tragic way to shrug off your mortal coil.

Alas another thread that had remained vaguely interesting descends into pointless and irrelevant drivel...

I like this one - unfortunately its not on public display but it is in Liverpool somewhere........
