Did you do the Wrynose & Hardknott passes? Your 7th picture reminds me of those.

We didn't, I'd love to though... Next time maybe. That's Kirkstone Pass - home of one of the highest pubs in England apparently. There's a photo of it on my facebook but my computer's being stupid about uploading it :x

You'd definitely love those passes. Haven't done the Kirkstone - yet

My one and only camping holiday was in the Lakes, the bloke i was with insisted on bringing his motorbike into the tent at nights.

And that's wrong? :eh?

Twin forks Lofty-left even less room for my entourage of ten pairs of Wranglers and my hair dryer :*:

langdale. did you go to the sticklebarn and dungeon ghyll pubs? great boozers. as a negative, there's also trying to get to sleep while some pissed cocknocker is singing/shouting/rowing/fighting/snoring or all of them at once.

Yeah, we went in the Old Dungeon Ghyll and ate in the Stickle, didn't go to the NDG though... Mmmmmm steeeeaaakkkk... They were lovely, really friendly and proper old pubs :D

And actually we were pretty lucky with the neighbours, no drunken singing as far as I'm aware. Just one very upper middle class lady trying and failing to make her silly named children do as they were told... Shheeeeeesh. But at least they went to bed early.

Lovely pics DisneyTime. The Lakes are gorgeous at any time - Lofty you should have a go at Kirkstone via 'The Struggle' ... on your bike ...

We went that way in the car. There was a scared Dutch man in front clutching his steering wheel, nose pressed to windscreen, doing about 10mph. He let us pass... Bless 'im :D
