If you're around the South Yorks/North Notts/Derbyshire area check out Hodsock Priory Snowdrop Garden. The gardens only open to the public in the winter, loads of different types of snowdrops and a walk through the woods where they usually have a big log fire going in a clearing to warm up by. www.snowdrops.co.uk/ |

It is a little bit out of my way. I love snowdrops and usually revert to a picture of snowdrops as my avatar at this time of year. My favourite snowdrop walk is Chirk Castle, it is breathtaking. Rode Hall near Congleton is nice too. I have not been to Attingham Park yet, they have a Snowdrop walk advertised. I am lucky there is a bank of snowdrops just up the road from me, I often walk up that way as looking at the snowdrops cheers me up. |

We had a long weekend at Cambo outside St Andrews last weekend - they are well known for their snowdrops, and we were not disappointed. The walks through the woods down to the sea were wonderful. |
