Just got back from the annual no-sleep excursion with 48 kids to Germany, where it didn't rain at all and it was scorching hot every day....however, I did get a stomach bug and honked my guts up on the Wednesday and ate virtually nothing from then until now....got all the kids back in one piece though.

Got in at 3am this morning and found my car locked in by the school across the road..grr...so I drove through a hedge and across a flowerbed to get it out.

More pics to follow, but the exchange visit was great - this is where we stayed, in the middle of nowhere...

Took half a dozen sixth formers to do work experience in German kindergartens - they had their doubts beforehand, but on the last day, they didn't want to come back! They stayed with partners of a similar age and got on extremely well. They are coming over to us, to reciprocate, in June.

Amazing place Germany. Just popped in there for a gig the other day. It's like a picture book. Holland too.

Off again on Sunday - this time I'm taking 78 Y9 students to a place near to our partner school, in Rheinland-Pfalz. Wish me luck.

Great trip, but I got bitten to death by a nasty German mosquito. Here's hoping the Irish insects in Iveagh Gardens will be kinder.
