Love Melbourne - have family there and may get out there ourselves later this year....just one thing though, the weirdness of kangaroos. They are just the strangest looking things, just bouncing about all over the place.

PS - they do a good tramcar night out in Melbourne, where you basically have a meal and unlimited drinks on a tram car round the city. I say it was good, but that could have been on account of the unlimited drink, which may well have impaired my judgement.

Report back on Canberra, is it as quiet and boring as I am led to believe (I have friends living there).

glad to see you're enjoying our great country/convict colony

canberra isn't too bad... full of public servants and politicians though... hence the quiet and boring

hope you like sydney

We walked across the bridge....toured the Opera House...went up the tower...ferry to Manly...... spent a day at Darling Harbour...... that day was much nicer ...we had a great time there...... then went out to the Blue Mountains and had a lovely day there.....parrots all over the place and a beautiful time in the Jameson Valley.....

Had a couple of nights in Dubai to break up the journey home....a very interesting place...tallest tower in the world...but too hot.......
